Our Story
Our story begins in the 1990s, in the rolling foothills of Korumburra, Victoria.
A small team of passionate makers at Burra Foods set out to craft yoghurt and cream with real care and Australians quickly fell in love. Pot set yoghurt, fruit-on-top creations, and our extra-thick Dollop cream soon became staples in fridges everywhere.
As word spread, Gippsland Dairy grew too, by 2000 we found a new home in Dandenong, the gateway to Gippsland. In 2005, we introduced something new that would become iconic, our Twist yoghurt. Smooth, creamy, and swirled with flavour, it was an instant favourite and still brings smiles to spoons today.
In 2011, Hamdi discovered Gippsland Dairy and fell for the craft, care, and indulgence behind every pot. He purchased Bead Foods and became part of the story, helping the brand grow while keeping its heart in Gippsland.
Today, Gippsland Dairy remains true to its roots, celebrated for its authenticity, indulgent taste, and that little something special that keeps people coming back for more. Our story continues to be written, one creamy spoonful at a time.
